HORRABRIDGE residents have been asked to lend a helping hand this month and give the village a real pick up. A day of litter picking is being held on Saturday, March 17 from 10am until noon, to try and tackle the issue of litter in Horrabridge. This social event has been set up by a litter task and finish group run by Horrabridge Parish Council. The group includes members of local organisations, school governors and various groups. Chairman of the council, John Taynton, urged residents in the village to come and join in. He said: 'We want as many people as possible there. We really want to try and tidy the village.' Anyone who would like to take part should meet at Weir Park in Horrabridge at 10am.
