THE 2012 Buckland Abbey Letterbox Trail is now up and running at the National Trust property, offering participants the chance to win a prize and explore the estate at the same time.
The lucky winner of last year's trail was Lucy Davies aged 7, who won a letterbox carved by warden Andrew Wrayford.
The trail takes people around the blue estate walk, covering three miles of beautiful countryside.
Visitors had to solve the clues that led them to the letterboxes hidden around the walk.
In addition to the trail, there are four walks of varying lengths on the estate, which take in farmland, woods and riverside areas, all with numerous picnic spots and viewpoints. Guides are available in reception.
