MARY Tavy took one step further to promotion, gaining three valuable points in the title race.
As things are beginning to hot up with Maker losing midweek to St Annes, Tavy must continue to keep on winning ways.
Captain Nick John gave Tavy the lead from a penalty kick after the ball was clearly handled to prevent them getting in at goal. This was John?s first goal of the season and well deserved as he later claimed the man of the match for his excellent clearance off the line to and astute defending throughout the match. Only the one goal in the first half with several chances going begging and several near misses as Andy Pedrick found time to onslaught the Queen?s goal with unfortunate results.
Two more second half goals made it safe with Simon Pocknell rising above all others to head a superb second from a corner.
Matt Salisbury was wrestled to the ground as the goal beckoned on front of him. This time Shaun James reverted to his usual role and stepped in to convert Tavy?s third.
