FOLLOWING the result of the Eastleigh by-election I thought it might be the right time to share with your readers this letter sent to us in 2005 by the late Mr David Vick:

'England our England' by Vernon Coleman — Many thanks for the loan of this book and I may order some copies direct from his publishing house!

It was for this reason that I joined the Freedom Association now many years ago.(25 or 30 years!)

The Romans with their vast empire went through this maze of over bureaucracy and over taxation of the people and Russia only recently within the last 100 years, each with disastrous financial and social consequences. I just cannot understand the lack of integrity in our politicians but I suppose most of them are lawyers or schoolteachers !

However I think Geoffrey Cox does have integrity but it is a question of common-sense and faith in those individuals who have the right moral fibre and courage to stand up to the establishment or authorities — just the same as 2,000 years ago in the time of Christ and St Paul.

Nothing changes much!

However Europe does seem to be going down the wrong road.
