The Sukuli Belly Dancers will bring an aura of the exotic and alluring east to the Meeth Fete on Saturday July 17.

Demonstrating a style with its roots in the dances of North Africa and dressed in embroidered costumes based on those of the people of the Hindu Kush, the dancers swirl to gypsy music.

And there will be the opportunity to try the moves yourself with help from the experts. The demonstration will be at 2.45pm.

There will also be all the fun of a traditional fete and family dog show on the day. The dog show starts at 11am, ploughman's lunches noon to 2pm and teas served from 3.30pm.

Entrance is free — ten per cent of the net funds raised will go to Devon Air Ambulance and the rest towards the re-plastering project for the interior of Meeth Church.
