LIMEHOUSE Lizzy, the band generally rated as the number one tribute band to the legendary Thin Lizzy, appears at the Wharf in Tavistock next month, one of just a few selected venues at which they celebrate their ten year anniversary.

The tour also celebrates the 25th anniversary of what has consistently been quoted as ?the greatest live rock album ever?? Thin Lizzy?s double album classic ?Live & Dangerous?.

Live & Dangerous time-stamped what was to become the start of Thin Lizzy?s mass appeal. Chart favourites like Jailbreak, Dancing in the Moonlight, Don?t believe a Word, the phenomenally successful The Boys are Back in Town and, of course, Rosalie, guaranteed the album 46-weeks residency in the charts.

Thin Lizzy and charismatic front man Phil Lynott dominated the story of Irish rock in the 1970s and laid the foundations for many contemporary acts, their influence being detected in bands as diverse as U2 and The Corrs.

This legacy, cherished and celebrated by Limehouse Lizzy with genuine enthusiasm, explains much of this popular tribute band?s success.

Since their formation, Limehouse Lizzy has gained a tremendous and growing following. In fact the site, which features news, tour information and merchandise, has allowed them to reach even more Thin Lizzy fans.

Limehouse Lizzy has also been extremely busy gigging up and down the country, their 2002 Dancing in the Moonlight tour following on from the phenomenal success of the Live Killers 2000 tour, both of which took them to gigs in Eire, the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

They also featured in the documentary Inside Track, their growing following and global success having attracted the attention of the BBC.
