THE community scrap store has now re-opened after major refurbishment of the Fulfilling Lives building in Tavistock. Store organiser Helen McFarlane apologised to customers for the limited access to the building during the past months — to thank them for their patience. There will be a half-price charge for renewal of memberships. The community scrapstore is run by people with learning disabilities as work and preparation for employment. It is open from Tuesdays to Thursdays between 10am and 3pm. Anyone who wishes to visit the store out of hours should call Helen McFarlane on 01822 612981.
