I WOULD like to express my thanks to John Phillips, manager of Morrisons store Tavistock, for his kindness and generosity in supplying the school, free of charge with apples and croissants for 60 children in my Year 6 in support of their 'SATs' Breakfasts'.

The children have been working hard in preparation for their national Standard Assessment tasks and during the four days of the tasks the school offers the children a Continental-style breakfast here in school so that the day starts in a calm and positive manner. Thank you, once again, Morrisons for your support.

THE SURF Group (Service Users' Recovery Forum) would like to thank everyone who came to Claire's coffee morning on March 27, to raise money for mosaic workshops for it's members who are recovering from mental distress.

A grand total of £300 was raised, and in addition, £175 was made from the sale of photographic canvasses.

The mosaic workshops provide a vital opportunity to learn a new skill, gain confidence and help overcome the feelings of anxiety and hopelessness suffered by those in recovery.

The group will be having a stall at the charity bonanza on Saturday May 29, in Tavistock Pannier Market to raise monies, and would be grateful for donations of any good quality bric-a-brac. Please contact Fran Murray on tel: 01822 612460.
