TAVISTOCK's talented young rock band Ten Zero One are back in competition mode, winning the latest heat of the 'Livewire Battle of the Bands' event at Saltash last week.
The band, comprising Tavistock College students Max Williams, Gary Lawrence-James, Jack Rawlings and Charlie Smith, won through to the finals of the Live and Unsigned national talent competition earlier this year.
Although only 13 and 14 years old, the boys are now wowing the judges again and will play in the semifinals of the Livewire competition in December.
Kathryn Williams, Max's mother, said: 'The band are also trying to win a support gig with McFly at the Plymouth Pavilions on their 2012 UK tour.
'The band have to gain as many as possible likes of their video that they have entered into the competition. The top 50 will have a chance of being picked for the 26 gigs.'
At the moment more than 902 bands have entered the competition. Times readers can help by going on Ten Zero One's facebook page and clicking on a link 'McFly battle of the bands entry — Ten Zero One' and then clicking 'like' of Ten Zero One's video for the vote to register.
Kathryn added: ' It literally takes two seconds to do and its free, but has to be done via Facebook.'
