AN OKEHAMPTON College student is organising a ?Teeny Ten Tors? walk over Dartmoor next week to raise funds for a challenge expedition to Brazil. Scott Tremain, a year 10 student, is part of a team from the college who are hoping to take part in a Team Challenge Expedition to Southern Brazil next summer. The south of Brazil is a less economically developed area, and the team will be helping the locals with projects like building schools and working in orphanages, as well as completing a trek across the rainforest and hills. The event has been designed for people of all ages and abilities and there are will be a choice of a 10 mile or five to six mile route. Both walks start and finish from the Fox and Hounds at Bridestowe and will be followed by a barbecue. The walk takes place on Sunday, July 23. Entry is £5 per adult and £3 for under-16s, with the money going to help raise the funds to enable Scott to participate in the expedition.
