IN an entertaining game of open rugby in which the teams were much closer than the score might suggest Nick Martin scored Okehampton's opening try with a powerful effort, crashing through several tackles to touch down for a try converted by Chris Back.
After good interplay by forwards and backs, Luke Honeychurch went over for Okehampton's second try, again converted by Chris Back.
The introduction of Chris Searle and Simon Cox saw Okehampton pushing forward more and more.
However, good breaks by Ali Grant, Neal Parrot, Jamie Pavely and Pash were undone by some slack defensive tackling and a disallowed try by Simon Cox did not help Okehampton's cause.
However, this was a good all round display by Okehampton showing power and commitment and will only bode well for the future.
