Friendly Dawlish Ladies 1 Okehampton Ladies 4 OKEHAMPTON Ladies? first team had a break this weekend from the league but travelled to Dawlish for a friendly fixture. From the beginning the away side showed skill and determination in an effort to win this match and so they did. Rachel Hammett played exceptionally well as right wing starting Okehampton?s path to victory by scoring the first goal. The midfield was dominated by Carol Taylor?s exemplary performance, distributing the ball well to the attacking forward line. In return they used their practised passing tactics to create opportunities for Jo Moppett to score a further two goals. The defence marked tightly throughout the match giving very few opportunities for Dawlish to score but did concede one goal. Viv Weatherington for Okehampton showed great potential in a come back position as right back. Alex Collins, playing left wing, also scored a goal for the team making the final score 4-1 to Okehampton at the final whistle. l Okehampton Ladies play away to Newton Abbot in the league next Saturday.
