TAVISTOCK Pannier Market will hold this year’s annual charity bonanza on Saturday July 30.
The event is organised by Tavistock Area Support Services (TASS) and this year 15 local charities have combined together to hold it.
Bryan Podmore, a spokesman for TASS said; ‘The Bonanza is now in its 27th year of helping local charities to help local people by firstly, fundraising and then supporting them by means of activities, advice and information.
Every year we raise lots of money, and it is good to know that it is returned to the people of Tavistock and surrounding area by way of support and advice. It is also a good source of much-needed volunteers for the charities. We hope that everybody at the pannier market on the day will support us in one way or another, and I would urge you all to come along and join in the day with us.’
The Mayor of Tavistock Mandy Ewings will formally open the Bonanza at 10.30am. She will then take part in a ‘walkabout’ whilst visiting all of the charities and volunteers that are taking part in this event.
