THE people of North Tawton are once again supporting the RNIB with a coffee morning on Saturday, September 8.
Rose Dadds, one of the organisers and supporters of RNIB, said: 'We are inviting people from miles around to support their North Tawton neighbours by coming along to the event.'
There will be tasty home-made sponges and cakes on offer, all locally made and donated by friends and supporters of the RNIB.
The town has already been supporting the blindness charity for a long time, with a weekly raffle organised by the Dadds family that raises funds for RNIB already in place.
The raffles and other fundraising events have raised well over £50,000 for the RNIB's Talking Book Service.
This has led to more than 50 new books for the talking book library being produced. There are 15,000 titles to choose from, and the donations from North Tawton help to make it possible.
The coffee morning starts at 10am in the town hall. Tables for the coffee morning are available at £4 each, and can be booked by calling Rose Dadds on 01837 82130.
