A DELIGHTFUL and delicious event for the sweet toothed is being held this weekend — and it promises to be a true indulgence. Saturday, April 19 will see the quarterly 'Meeting for Puddings' take place in Belstone Village Hall from 7.30pm. All are invited to share in the sumptuous sweets, dreamy deserts and prize puddings that will be on offer. The selection includes steamed lemon curd pudding, apple in-and-out, plum duff, rhubarb and orange pudding and chocolate pots. There will be Bird's custard, pouring cream and Cornish clotted cream available for the finishing touches. The organisers are promising good old fashioned puddings, all made from scratch from the very best ingredients, with no e-numbers or synthetic ingredients in sight. It costs £6 per person to eat as much good pud as possible until the last one is gone. All are welcome and there are no age limits. Anyone wishing to book a place should contact Marion and Chris Walpole on 01837 840498.
