THE first half of this match was a goalless muddle, with Foxhole opting for long ball and Lamerton unable to get the ball down and play. James Steer combined with Blair Vanstone, who had sight of goal from ten yards, but he hit it down the keeper's throat and Nathan Blamey had a dipping long range effort saved.
Lamerton looked much more confident and likely winners, but they received a shock half way through the second half, when a rasping long range effort, which moved in the air, caught out Pete Daniel, who could only parry the ball into the danger area and Foxholes attacker was on to it in a flash to score into an empty net.
Lamerton nearly equalised five minutes later, but Vanstone's bottom corner bound drive was well saved. Simon Breyley came close twice from corners, the second a free header.
The introduction of Kev Swift was key, as he played the killer pass for the equaliser, releasing Dan Healy down the right, who lobbed the hesitant home keeper.
This Saturday away to Saltash, 2.30pm. Sunday, home to St Dominick, Launceston cup, 2.30pm.
