POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a doctors' surgery premises in Tavistock were badly damaged at the weekend.
The incident occurred at the Wharfside Surgery in Canal Road between 11.30pm and 11.45pm.
Sgt Ian Woods said: 'It appears that a white van reversed into the wall, causing extensive damage, probably in excess of £1,000 worth.
'It would have made a lot of noise and we believe the vehicle would have been damaged as a result — it took the whole wall out.'
Sgt Woods said anyone who saw anything or has knowledge of the incident should call Tavistock Police Station, quoting log 66 of 17.02.02.
