A UNIQUE blend of traditional folk music with jazz and blues will be enjoyed by Tavistock audiences tomorrow (Friday), when the superb group, Pentangle take to the stage of the Wharf. Formed in 1967, Pentangle was co-founded by vocalist, Jacqui McShee together with folk musicians, Bert Jansch and John Renbourn. One critic wrote of Jacqui: ?Her beautiful, crystal-clear vocals set the standard for all female, British folk-rock singers.? She has also been favourably compared with Joan Baez and Annie Haslan. Her rare talent enables her to perform accompanied and unaccompanied folk songs as well as spirituals, jazz and blues numbers. Over the years, Pentangle has become established as the leading exponents of British folk-rock. Pentangle takes to the stage at 8pm. Tickets cost £15 (advance).
