AFTER the hottest day in May on which to set up, we were greeted with a gloomy morning on Saturday, but it did nothing to dampen the spirits of those who came to the Bridestowe Plant Sale. In a little less than two hours we raised £1,053 for the Children?s Society and St Bridget?s Church. In addition. good sums were raised on the Traidcraft stall and for Bridestowe, Sourton and Lydford Pre-school. I am indebted to all those who helped in any way whatsoever (and there is quite an army of you now!) and to the kind people who worked hard to produce such a huge variety of good plants to be sold. It is just amazing what turns up! We are so grateful to the Coward family and Mrs Calmady-Hamlyn for welcoming us so generously to Leawood once again. A big thank you from us all at St Bridget?s to everyone who came, brought and bought, helped and supported our efforts in any way. They tell me we?re doing it again next year!
