A FORMER Military Academy student is celebrating after completing her phase one training for the Military Police.
Beth Connolly completed the level 3 Military Academy course at Duchy Stoke Climsland in April, ahead of schedule, and has joined the Army as a Military Police Woman in the Royal Military Police (RMP).
Beth has now completed her phase one military training at Army Training Regiment Pirbright. This is 14-weeks of intense training that all soldiers undergo and includes fitness, first aid, fieldcraft, weapon handling, shooting, map reading, drill, teamwork and communication.
The Royal Military Police is deemed as one of the hardest regiments to join, requiring a high level of academic ability and the highest score on the Army recruit test.
Beth passed a series of tests to complete the training and was one of only 18 females to pass out.
On her course at Duchy Stoke Climsland, Beth said: ‘Without the course I do not think I would have been able to achieve what I have done.’
Beth will now go on to phase two training which will train her in all the skills to become a Military Police Woman.
