LAMERTON travelled to Pensilva hoping to get back to winning ways and succeeded with a comfortable, albeit not too convincing, performance.
They got off to a good start when Kev Fedrick scored from close range, and the veteran striker bagged his second ten minutes later from a similar position.
Midway through the first half Sean Cann hit a third into the corner of the net from outside the box and at that stage a big score looked on the cards. But the Pensilva keeper was in confident form and his handling was excellent.
Lamerton had the balance of play during the second half and, with the defence solid, hardly looked like conceding a goal. The midfield and forwards, however, never really got their act together and the score remained 3-0 when the final whistle went
This Saturday home to Grampound in the Divisional Cup, kick-off 2pm.
