A SECOND charity summer ball organised by Quinns Hair Centre in Okehampton is scheduled for June 8 at Okehampton Rugby Club.
The first event in 1999 proved to be a great success with more than £2,000 raised for Hospiscare, and the team are hoping to better that this time with one of the beneficiaries being Okehampton's New Hospital Appeal.
There will be a Queen's Golden Jubilee theme as the event follows the two-day public holiday to commemorate's Her Majesty's 50 years on the throne.
Entertainment will include the Bridestowe Barbershop Singers. A stretch limousine will be available to hire for ten minute trips throughout the evening or to and from the ball. Tickets, priced at £15, are available from Quinns or Donald's Menswear.
