A YOUNG girl from Tavistock can continue her passion of playing football thanks to a Tavistock opticians.

Jessica Bould Lynch, 13, who plays for Tavistock Ladies' under 14 team has been given special sports goggles from Specsavers.

As new FA rules prevent Jessica wearing her normal glasses for league matches, she may not have been able to continue playing football without specially made ones.

Store director, Sarah Routly, said: 'Jessica's family are long standing customers of the store since its opening in 2002 and we are very happy to be able to help her by sponsoring her new sports eye wear.

'We're looking forward to seeing Jessica play even better this season with her new specs.'
