Devon & Exeter Intermediate 4

Okehampton Argyle 3rds 7

Heavitree & Woodford Social Club 1

ON a sunny afternoon Okehampton somehow managed to catch a cold after only ten minutes, trailing 1-0.

Okehampton played flowing football but were frustrated when goals and chances were disallowed due to the offside trap and linesman's flag.

Shortly before the break Steve Harris rifled in the equaliser after another delightful passing movement.

Okehampton continued to press and were rewarded after Paddy Blatchford's cross was stabbed home by Robbie Sandercock. Crispen then set up top goalscorer Jerome and moments later player manager Chris Drew made it 4-1, effectively killing off the game.

Heavitree were reduced to nine men due to injuries and Okehampton brought on three fresh substitutes, notably James, who, in the space of 15 minutes, scored three goals and missed a penalty.

Okehampton continued to press and should have scored more but were happy to remain unbeaten and top of the league.

Man of the match: Jerome Whitely. Goal of the match: Steve Harris.

This Saturday 3pm home to Mitre United, Sunday 2pm home to Newtown.
