A WIDE range of steam fair attractions are being brought to the Wharf and Bedford Car Park in Tavistock this Sunday (May 31).
Tavistock Steam Fair is an annual event which sees steam engines both full size and miniature, classic and vintage cars, commercials, military and buses, barn engines and vintage tractors, arrive for the day.
The Frank Roffey Tavistock tractor trail will again be starting and finishing at the Steam Fair.
The colourful line of between 30 and 40 restored tractors will be leaving at 11am and returning at 2pm, having visited Abbotsfield Nursing Home, Kelly College and the Trout and Tipple.
The Collection of Collections, housed in the Wharf Auditorium, will be crammed full of interesting and unusual items.
A large garden railway layout will be built on the stage and the floor will be an Aladdin's cave of treasures. It is also hoped to have steam boats on the canal.
Trailer rides behind the steam engines will be on offer — 'Stumbles' the town's steam roller will be there, along with other rollers and traction engines.
A miniature steam train will also be giving rides, as will some juvenile roundabouts.
Bedford Car Park will be closed from midnight on Saturday, May 30 until 8pm on the Sunday.
Entrance prices are £3 for adults, under 16s accompanied by an adult enter for free, unaccompanied under 16s £3.
Proceeds from the Steam Fair support the aims of the Robey Trust to preserve, restore, operate and display steam vehicles and other historic engines, especially items manufactured by Robey and Co Ltd of Lincoln.
