INFORMATION focussing on HIV and Aids awareness are due to be distributed around youth groups in the Tavistock area next week. This is in advance of the forthcoming World Aids Day on December 1.

Leaflets, posters and flyers were also available at the Tavistock and District Youth Network meeting on Monday.

The theme for this year?s World Aids Day is stigma and discrimination ? the National Aids Trust believes the only way to win the fight against HIV/Aids is to confront such ignorance.

Campaigners are urging residents to wear the red ribbon badge as a reminder of the need to continue the fight against HIV/Aids.
