CHILDREN at Winkleigh Primary School will put on a special assembly this festive season, to sing songs and share some of their poetry.

In the past the school choir has attended the switching on of Winkleigh lights, but due to the event's new format this year, the school will hold the assembly today (Thursday) at 2.30pm.

The choir will sing songs, and drama pupils will be sharing poetry they have worked on.
