PRINCETOWN Primary School children this year produced a Christmas play entitled 'The Real Saint Nick' (pictured). This is the story of St Nicholas — or Santa Claus — as interpreted in the traditions of various countries around the world.

Teacher Gemma Yelland, who spent the weekend prior to the production up to her elbows in costumes and glitter, said: 'This is a great way of linking the Christmas story into the topics of geography and other cultures that we have been covering this term.

'The kids will all be doing songs and performance, with each class taking on a different part of the world. I'm really proud of them all, they have worked so hard!'
