AN Okehampton solicitors has raised hundreds of pounds for charity by offering its will making services for nothing.

Customers donated money to have their wills made, helping Stones solicitors to contribute £1,800 to the Will Aid Make a Million Appeal. Stones completed more than 30 wills through the scheme.

A spokesperson for the firm said: 'Stones is always pleased to help support this worthwhile scheme. It not only benefits the charities but highlights the importance of having a will drawn up by a professional qualified lawyer.

'Some of the members of the public who took part have also pledged further amounts to the charities through their wills.'

There are nine Will Aid charities and more than £1-million was raised in the push this year.

The money raised will make an immediate difference to the lives of people in need in the UK and around the world.
