A NUMBER of kittens are looking for loving homes after their mother was brought to Margaret Green Animal Rescue when heavily pregnant.

The mother, Treacle, was found straying and heavily pregnant in August and was taken to the rescue centre in Tavistock. She was nervous and a little thin, but ten days later she gave birth to four female kittens.

Treacle has now had time to show her true nature, which staff at the rescue centre say is sweet-natured and affectionate.

The kittens are now weaned and are proving to be bold and cheeky. They will be looking for new homes at the end of this month. Treacle is also looking for someone to care for her.
