A TAVISTOCK snooker player has potted his way to the last 64 of the English amateur championships.
Andy Symons-Rowe, 20, recently took one of the four qualifying berths at the regional heats at the Matchroom Snooker Centre in Plympton.
He won his first match 4-0 then beat the England international Scott Bullied 4-2 to earn his place at the championships which will take place next month in either Bristol or Swindon.
Andy recently recorded his best break in competition, 103, representing Tavistock in a Plymouth and District league match ? the first century break of the season.
He was awarded the January player of the month title for his performances in the league.
Andy, whose highest break in a practice match is a 142 total clearance, said he would love to one day get the chance to play at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.
