SUPPORTERS of NSPCC have been raising some Christmas cheer as well as some money for the charity — including the team at the Times.
The Wharf in Tavistock held a coffee morning on December 1 to raise money and awareness for the children’s charity.
The venue has a special NSPCC Christmas tree decked with baubles that people can sponsor by dropping into the Times office on Brook Street and making a donation.
The coffee morning raised £200 and town mayor Cllr Sue Bailey made an appearance to turn on the tree’s lights. A street collection in the town centre raised just under £600.
