The competition asked Tavistock residents to arm themselves with a camera, explore the area outside their front door and capture the best of the town on film.
Janine Davey, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey, said: 'We are delighted by the number of entries we received and there were so many great shots of Tavistock that we had real trouble deciding on the finalists.
'The success of this competition just goes to prove people in Tavistock are as passionate about the town as we are and it has been an excellent way for residents to show what they love most about the area.'
The shortlisted images will be showcased at Taylor Wimpey's Tavistock development, Manor Oaks, off Old Launceston Road, this Saturday, May 22, at a special event where the competition winner will be revealed.
The overall winner will take home a prize of £500 Jessops vouchers and two runners-up will receive Jessops vouchers worth £100 and £50 respectively, courtesy of Taylor Wimpey.
Anyone interested in seeing the finalists' images for themselves are invited to attend Manor Oaks at noon for the presentation announcing the three winners, which will take place at 12.30pm.
Janine continued: 'We look forward to welcoming any visitors keen to see the photos for themselves. We also hope that in addition to attending Manor Oaks to receive their prizes, the finalists will invite their family and friends to come with them to see the best of "Tavistock Through A Lens".'
