DIMSON Day Nursery's hand-reared lamb will be shorn for the first time at their annual sheep shearing morning in May. Bam-Bam the lamb was reared by the nursery children and enjoys joining in and playing games with them. Weather permitting, the shearing morning will be on Tuesday, May 15 from 10am to noon, and members of the public, childminders, pre-school playgroups, nurseries and primary schools are invited to go along to watch. There will also be the chance to see the fleece spun into wool and have a go at spinning, as well as joining in with other activities and meeting the other nursery animals. There is no admission charge, and drinks and biscuits will be available to buy, or picnics are welcome. Parking is available at the field, which is at the Day Nursery, Kids Club and Outdoor Environmental Play and Learning Centre at Lower Dimson Farm, Gunnislake. Call Carol Clough on 01822 832900 for more details.
