Carlsberg South Western League Goonhavern 0 Tavistock 5 THE highlight of this game was a hat trick from Tavistock?s Mark Conday to send the home side to their eighth consecutive defeat and see the Lambs creep further up the league table. Goonhavern were down to the bare 11 due to a great deal of injuries but kept the Lambs at bay. The Lambs finally went ahead a minute before half time with Conday heading home. Tavistock stamped their authority on the game within the first three minutes of the second half with two goals to give the home side a mountain to climb. First James Steer crossed but a back header fell to Williams out wide to send it back in for Conday to turn and fire home. Then Steer and Stringer combined to allow Hobbs to run at the defence for the ball to run loose for Stringer to shoot home. Both sides found themselves down to 10 men on 54minutes when Hobbs and Dave Rawlings got themselves in a confrontation that left the referee with no option but to show both players red cards. The Lambs got their fourth with 15 minutes remaining when Conday slotted home his third. The Lambs had the final say on the stroke of full time when Steer put Cann away for him to cut back to allow sub John Hajiyianni the simple task of tapping home for Tavistock?s fifth to cap a good performance, but sadly marred by the sending offs.
