North Tawton 2nds 3 Northlew 0 THIS local derby was very much influenced by considerable windy conditions. North Tawton, playing against the wind in the first half, managed to keep Northlew at bay sustaining some considerable pressure. The visitors went close by hitting the woodwork twice in the first 30 minutes. However it was the home team that broke the deadlock with a counter attacking move which was converted by Oliver Webber, placing the ball from a tight angle past the goalkeeper. This was the only goal in the first half. The home team dominated the second half, with Northlew struggling to get out of their own half. After 55 minutes Stewart Bragg earned a penalty by getting behind Northlew?s defence. Lloyd Reynolds, sending the keeper the wrong way, converted the penalty. North Tawton?s third goal came from a nice move in which Stewart Bragg laid the ball off to Lloyd Reynolds 20 yards from the goal, who hit a right foot shot hard and low to beat the keeper through a crowded box. Man of the match, Stewart Bragg.
