OKEHAMPTON men's hockey second XI went into this game full of confidence and started brightly, scoring early in the first half.
But Liskeard settled and began to put them under pressure. Strong running from the Liskeard midfield made it difficult for Okehampton to put together a cohesive attack.
Nonetheless, Okehampton were unlucky to change ends at 1-1.
In the second half Liskeard again pinned Okehampton into their D and created a number of penalty corners of which they converted two.
Okehampton finished the stronger of the two teams and pulled one back before the final whistle.
Overall this is a game where Okehampton will rue a veritable bucketful of missed chances and they will learn a lot from it.
