OKEHAMPTON Carnival Committee is still seeking a carnival queen for this year?s event. Entrants should by 12 years or over on carnival day. To enter, please give name, age, address and contact telephone numbers to either Krafty Cards in Red Lion Yard or J C Books in the Arcade, by midday on Friday, June 30. The committee will offer any advice regarding the construction of a float if required. Parents should also be advised that attendance at other local carnivals will be expected. The queen will be joined on the day by the prince and princess, to whom the committee are delighted to offer their congratulations. Only one entry was received by the deadline of May 19, so Ashton and Ethan Hoggins automatically became this year?s prince and princess. This year?s carnival takes place on Saturday, October 21.
