Liskeard 3

THIS was a close match and Tavistock ladies' seconds hockey team did well against the league leaders.

In the first half Liskeard had the advantage and scored just before half-time. Tavistock had chances but were unable to convert.

In the second half the match was even. Tavistock used their team well and created several good openings but the goals did not materialise. Liskeard scored twice more from skirmishes on the goal-line.

AGAIN, Tavistock had plenty of scoring opportunities but could not convert. All three goals came from skirmishes on the goal-line, the Tavistock goal being scored by Natasha Blamey.

The last two matches were disappointing for Tavistock as the team have settled into a good rhythm and are playing well. This season can be considered a success with some good wins and with so many young players there is a sound basis to build on for next season.
