PLYMOUTH?s recent half marathon saw one runner bring home a tremendous financial boost for St Luke?s Hospice.

Paul Edwards, whose mother Kathy runs one of Tavistock?s two St Luke?s Hospice charity shops, raised more than £500 when he completed the race in 1 hour 41 minutes.

Kathy said: ?We are very proud of him, he ran a great race and raised a lot of money for this worthwhile cause.?

The money Paul raised in sponsorship was matched by Xerox ? the company he works for ? and Kathy also helped out by drumming up support in her shop.

She said: ?I?d just like to thank all our customers in Tavistock, they were so generous and made a big difference to the amount of money Paul managed to raise.?
