THE princess and her attendants have now been chosen for this year's Tavistock Carnival, which takes place next month.
The princess, Ruby Montgomery, aged nine, and her attendants Rebecca Bradbury, eight, and Layla Armstrong, nine, were chosen by judges Times editor Jane Honey, incoming Lions president Richard Jones and Anne Wroath.
The girls will make their first appearance at the baby show in the Parish Rooms on Saturday, July 11 and Ruby will be officially crowned at the funday in the Meadows the following day.
On Saturday, July 18, they will lead the carnival procession through the streets of Tavistock.
This year's theme is 'Music makes the world go round'.
