TAVISTOCK could only field six players again but took the lead with an early goal from Robyn Hammond.

Despite Rebecca Rose making some fine saves Tavistock saw a strong attacking side get past their defence. Sophie Bassett battled in midfield with Nicole Murray chasing everything to keep the ball upfield.

Three close-range shots beat Rose when Tavistock failed to clear the ball out. Rose came out second half and Emma Hyde took over the goal keeping.

Tavistock began to look stronger with Murray having some fine shots at goal.

Hammond was unlucky when her volley hit the post and Lauren Hayward found herself with a one-on-one but the keeper saved. Hyde made some good saves but was beaten by a close-range shot.

Tavistock kept the preasure up and when Rose sent across a strong corner Murray tapped in to score her debut goal.
