A WEST?Devon theatre company has raised £150 for Brentor-based charity CHICKS, which provides life-enhancing respite breaks to disadvantaged children.

The In The Wings Theatre Company performed the specially written musical 'The Great Train Robbery: The Robbery' in front of audiences in Tavistock, Calstock, Liskeard and Plymouth. The musical took audiences on an express ride through musical styles from the 1920s to the present.

The theatre group was established last year by students Ross Ayling and Morag Stolton. Ross first became involved in musical theatre at the age of 16, while Morag began dancing at the age of three. Both later became active members of the Tavistock Musical Theatre Company.

Ross and Morag were thrilled at the success of this year's production: 'We are very proud of all the hard work that went into this production from all involved, including our amazing cast, who provided a fantastic but challenging show for the audience to enjoy and remember. We would also like to thank everyone who attended the production — without your continued support  this wouldn't have been possible'.

Last year the company raised funds for CHICKS and St Luke's Hospice with another original production, 'The Musical of all Musicals: The Musical'.

Ross and Morag hope to expand the company in the coming year, offering professional tuition in all aspects of musical theatre, including dancing, acting and music.
