THE curtain came up on the showing of film in Okehampton for the first time since last autumn and proved a great success with more than 70 people attending the screening of ?The Lord of the Rings, the Return of the King? at the Charter Hall last Wednesday (July 21).

The screening was made with the help of the company Moviola, who provided the projection equipment. The next film will be shown at 6.30pm on Wednesday, August 4, when the highly acclaimed documentary Touching the Void (Cert 15) will be screened.

Unfortunately plans to show Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on that date have had to be postponed due to a hold up at the distribution company.

The young wizard?s film adventure will now be shown a fortnight later, on Wednesday, August 18, with a matinee (2pm) and evening (6.30pm) showing in the Charter Hall.

Tickets for the postponed performance can be exchanged at Millennium Music in advance, or at the Charter Hall on the day.

Alternatively, anyone who has got a ticket and is not able to get to the later showing can get a full refund and a discount voucher for a future presentation.
