A CELEBRATION Day is being held at Burrator Reservoir on July 6, incorporating the launch of the new Burrator Discovery Centre. Westcountry charity South West Lakes Trust is celebrating being recently awarded the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise in the Sustainable Development category for the second time, as well as the progress made with its 'Burrator and Natural Environment'. The Celebration Day, which will run from 10.30am to 4pm, will include a variety of exhibitors and activities for the whole family to enjoy — from Wheelyboat tours to Water Zorbing. For those who prefer to stay on land there will be guided walks, orienteering, fishing taster sessions, electric bike tours, dog obedience sessions, traditional granite splitting demonstrations, family wildlife watch session, face painting, Morris dancing, live music and much more. Everyone will have the chance to learn more about the work of the trust, enjoy the Burrator site and surroundings, and be able to look around the brand new Discovery Centre.
