'LEST we forget' — acts of remembrance are being held throughout the Tavistock area this Sunday and all are invited to their local village or town to remember the fallen.

Among those holding events are:

• St Eustachius Church, Tavistock: Starts with a service at 9.30am, followed by an act of remembrance at 10.50am at the War Memorial in the Guildhall Car Park.

• Christ Church, Brentor: 10am service which ends with an act of remembrance.

• Gulworthy: Meet outside the church at 10.50am for the service and an act of remembrance.

• Bere Alston: Parade will begin at 2.30pm at the parish hall and then to Holy Trinity Church at 3pm for the service.

• Bere Ferrers: Meet at the War Memorial at 10.55am for the act of remembrance, then to St Andrew's Church for the service, featuring Tavy Tars.

• St Paul's Church, Yelverton: 9.30am service, which will include an act of remembrance at 10.55am.

• St Peter's Church, Meavy: 10am service, and then the congregation will be invited to gather at the cross in the village for 10.55am for the act of remembrance.

• Walkhampton: Service at 9.30am in the War Memorial Hall, and then the congregation will be invited to gather around the cross at 10.55am for the act of remembrance.

• St John's, Horrabridge: People are asked to gather outside the cross at the church at 10.45am for the act of remembrance.

• St Leonard's, Sheepstor: Meet at 10.55am for the act of remembrance.
