THE British Red Cross is marking National Volunteer's Week in Devon by thanking the hundreds of people who give their time and skills to the charity, and is also calling for more people to sign up to volunteer.

The Red Cross in Devon offers a range of services and volunteering opportunities, including health and social care, fire and emergency support, events, first aid and retail.

People are being encouraged to learn more about the rewards of volunteering by calling the charity to discuss the opportunities.

Anyone aged 15 and over can volunteer for as long or as short a time as they want. The charity is specifically looking for volunteers to take part in the youth and schools projects, Refugee Week volunteering, administration roles, fundraising and care and support opportunities.
