BERE Alston firefighters were called to Pilgrim Drive in Bere Alston to a recycling bin which was on fire last week. Firefighters used one jet and one hosereel to tackle the fire in the recycling skip, containing a large amount of plastic bottles. The incident happened just before 10pm last Wednesday. l Tavistock firefighters were called to a car fire in Monksmead last week. They used hosereels and breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze in the car which was severely damaged. The incident happened just after 12pm last Wednesday.
