DANCING students tapped their way to the top achieving outstanding results in recent dance exams.
Miss Trudi's School of Dance in Tavistock saw a 100% pass rate among the 86 students taking the exams, all with results of very high passes, merits and distinctions.
Dancers from as young as three up to adults took exams in tap, ballet, modern and other types of dance.
Principal of the dance school Trudi Massey said: 'I am really pleased with them all, it is fantastic that we got such high marks. We even had a little three year old get a distinction so it was great that we had the little ones getting high marks as well.'
Between them, the students achieved 18 awards of top marks of distinction, 53 awards of merit and 15 awards of very high passes.
'The marks were brilliant. We also had four students that took their student teacher exams, which are really hard to pass, but they all got really good distinctions.'
Distinctions were awarded to Tara Walker, Lizzie Smith, Antonia D'Alessio and Rosie Walsh for their inter-foundation tap (student teacher qualification), Jack Matthews, Wendy Kingwell, Kathryn Friend, Julia Conway and Olivia Windsar for various levels of tap, and Ella Dannan, Alice Bickley, Rosie Carrick, Amy Monk, Lily Walke, Abigail Whitehead and Lucy Knape for various exams.
Trudi said: 'This is the most distinctions we've had. I'm really proud of them, they have all worked really hard.'
