CHAGFORD FOOTBALL CLUB held their annual presentations evening, at the Fingle Bridge Inn, Drewsteignton.
An enjoyable evening was had by all and awards were as follows: First team managers' player, Warwick Botham; players' player, Andrew Davis; most improved, Steve Brown.
In a break from tradition, the Reserves management allotted two managerial awards and dropped the most improved trophy: manager's player (1), Adrian Harvey, (2) Will Cork; players' player, Antony Geering. Clubperson of 2009, John Pearce.
At the recent league annual meeting Chagford were presented with the Vic Newland Memorial Cup. The award is voted upon and presented by the South Devon Referees Association, in recognition of a club's hospitably and efficiency toward visiting officials.
The club would like to thank their sponsors, supporters, helpers and all who have contributed to a successful and largely enjoyable season. The firsts again look forward to life in the premier division and the reserves hope to secure another promotion.
With the new league campaign starting early this year, Chagford resume training on Thursday, July 9 at their ground. Players of all abilities are welcome and newcomers may wish to ring John Pearce on 01647 433897, for further details.
